Amazon is certainly on a roll with new updates for the Amazon Echo. The latest update now includes the ability to get NCAA Men's Basketball scores and schedules just by asking the device. On top of that, there are several new Prime Music Playlist options. Here they are below:

Amazon Echo Gets another Update; Sports Scores and Star Trek Trivia

What do Sports Scores and Star Trek have in common? Not much usually, but today they are both showing up on updates to the Amazon Echo device. Currently, the Amazon Echo supports sports info regarding the NBA and NHL, but Amazon plans to add support for the NFL, MLB, MLS, NCAA basketball soon as well.
To get an Amazon echo taste of Star Trek, just tell Alexa to "live long and prosper" and get a poignant response. Kudos to the folks at Amazon for continuing to keep Alexa updated!

Amazon Echo Gets Another Update with a Couple of New Features

Alexa keeps getting better and better. Amazon updated her yet again. They don't add a great deal each time, but they are starting to do it often enough that these changes are adding up. This week we have Traffic Reports and St. Patricks' Day themes.

Amazon Echo Gets a Developer SDK and $100M USD Alexa Fund; Going to Third Party Devices & More

It looks like Amazon is taking their Echo device to the next level, both figuratively and literally. They just announced their new developer SDK program called Alexa Skills Kit (ASK). It basically allows developers to develop apps for the Amazon Echo, but it goes a step further as well. Developers aren't limited to developing apps only for the Amazon Echo device. Amazon's ASK will let developers port Alexa Voice Service (AVS) activation to other devices and develop her capabilities for them as well. This includes new features and capabilities for Alexa and even lets developers improve her voice recognition engine, text-to-speech, natural language understanding, and/or automatic speech recognition.

Adobe Lightroom 2.0 gets major update Raw Shooting on Android + more

Adobe brought us the first version of its Photoshop Lightroom image editor to Android a little over a year ago, and today the first major overhaul of Lightroom for Android is being released with version 2.0. Lightroom for Android 2 brings the mobile image editor up-to-speed with the iOS version of the same software, and actually goes a step further with a built-in camera that lets you capture DNG format RAW photos. The camera has built-in presets that let you apply non-destructive looks while framing and snapping shots.

Just pushed to my stock wifi xoom. When I turned it on, it said an update was ready. Reboot took about three minutes and viola. Going to play with it now.
