[Q] Restore Calendar Sync in 6.2.1
location: androidpark.com - date: December 22, 2011
Has anyone been able to restore Google Calendar sync to their Kindle post 6.2.1 update?
I managed to get Market working again via the GoogleServicesFramework.apk that someone posted previously... But it does not seem to restore Calendars.
Calendar sync issues
location: droidmania.com - date: November 5, 2011
For the last couple of weeks, I have been unable to sync Calengoo to my Google calendars. Manual attempts yield the following error message: "An error occurred during the sync of your calendars: Internal error: Illegal character (d83d)." Autosyncs also fail with a similar entry appearing in Calengoo's log. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Issues with Google calendar sync
location: androidpark.com - date: January 10, 2014
I have been having issues with my calendar sync on my XTZ 311. It has been happening over the past three months and it is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore as classes are starting again soon and I use my tablet as my primary organizer. I had been using Google Calendar from the play store, but I had noticed that in no monger was syncing and I couldn't troubleshoot it myself, so I factory reset my tablet to see it that would help. Long story short, it didn't, and not whenever I try to open it, it just force closes. The stock calendar is only slightly better as it will at least sync facebook birthdays. Now yes, I could get away with just using this but I like to have everything synced with my phone and laptop as well. Attached are some screenshots of the problem, if anyone could help that'd be great.

Google Calendar sync
location: droidmania.com - date: July 31, 2013
Every time I try to sync my calendar in my phone, I get a message that says "Unfortunately Google Calendar has stopped working" and it does not sync up. What do I need to do to get it to work?
I am running unrooted and completely stock.
Outlook Calendar Sync
location: droidradar.com - date: April 12, 2013
I am trying to find an app that will sync my Outlook calendar on my desktop to my phone. I do not care about the email, I just want the calendar. I also want it to sync without having to connect the phone to the computer and I would like it to sync both ways...computer to phone and phone to computer. And, if possible, I do not want to have to pay for the app, but if that is the only way I will, I just would rather not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
Calendar Sync not working on JB
location: androidpark.com - date: March 20, 2013
I used the "[MOD/LOCKED/ROOTED] Imperium Agent Tuned Stock Jelly Bean v1.1.0" on my stock JB and my calendar does not sync anymore.
I am in need of calendar sync. How do I undo this mod?
Also, I would have posted this in the thread but as I have under 10 posts xda does not allow me to post over there.
Calendar Sync does not work properly!
location: androidpark.com - date: June 7, 2013
The calendar app does not sync calendar entries to google servers.
But surprisingly when I delete an entry which I added via PC before then it vanishes even in the calendar app when syncing. Anybody who has the same problem? Any workaround?
Thank's for your help guys!
Edit: The matter has resolved itself. There's an extra tab when adding an entry to the calendar (internal, google, ms exchange) ...
Samsung Calendar Sync
location: droidradar.com - date: April 30, 2012
First off the Samsung native apps are beautiful! That said, I would really like to try using native apps this time arround for a change. I feel with this phone, more than any other I've had, that it will be more than capable.
My trouble has been with the native calendar app. The quick add feature seems very enticing but when I hit the "+" button (top left) on the widget or the app itself I get a pop up that says
"Google calendar cannot sync with Samsung Kies. Use My calendar to sync with Kies."
Now, if I just hit ok there is a second pop up that says
"Local calendar cannot sync with Google calendar. You need a Google account."
At the bottom of this pop up there are two options;
"Go to account and sync" or "Do not show again"
When I click on "Go to account and sync" it takes me into "accounts and sync" where my accounts are clearly and properly synced. I can re sync all day long and it still doesn't
[APP] Syncroid Outlook to Android calendar sync [update 12 March 2011]
location: androidpark.com - date: October 1, 2010
Synchronizes your Outlook client calendar with your Android calendar.
I needed to synchronize my Outlook with Android. There are many reasons to do so instead of using exchange synchronization. You might use Outlook without Exchange or work in a corporate environment, which does not allow you to access Exchange directly. Android does not provide such an option.
Syncroid is my solution. It only synchronizes meetings (appointments) and only from PC to Android, but it can be extended to do both direction synchronization and synchronize contacts. I'm at the point when this application works fine for me, but if you find it useful you can dictate its future, features and implementation priorities. This version is free. Since it already took lots of my free time, at some point I'll probably split it to paid and lite versions. This will happen if development becomes more complex and only when I feel application is stable enough to be commercial.
It's up to you. Giv
