how does everyone feel about mobile banking?
location: droidmania.com - date: February 15, 2011
the chase mobile app looks pretty good, especially when it scans checks for depositing etc etc. but i'm hesitant about the security(or lack of it). as it is, i don't do much in the way of accessing my account online anyway, but am especially wary about performing any MOBILE transactions.
am i overly cautious? is mobile banking more or less secure than online banking from my desktop?
Camera Blur on Mobile Banking App (Fidelity)
location: droidradar.com - date: May 6, 2014
Having an odd issue and trying to figure out if it's the app causing it or something with the camera. To summarize, when taking photos of the check, they come out blurry almost every single time. I can get a clear shot of the front of the check, but the back almost always blurs out. It does seem like when taking a photo of the back, it focuses real fast as opposed to taking a second on the front. Now I noticed some people had a similar problem with other banking apps like Bank of America.
So I'm wondering if this is the app or the phone. My other devices have no problem with taking pictures using the Fidelity app. I've messed around with the camera settings to no avail too. And as I mentioned, I have no problem taking photos of the check in the normal camera app. Is there a chance that Fidelity's app is just having issues with a new phone like the S5? That something in the new camera of the S5 is causing their photo taking system to act oddly.
Thank you for any help on this. It's d
Chase Mobile Banking App v2.1 to v2.4 Update Fix
location: androidpark.com - date: March 17, 2012
The last working version of the chase mobile banking app was v2.1 for me. Ever since then, the updates have broken some aspect of the app for me (including taking clean images for check deposits). Chase requires you to update if you want to use the app. So using v2.1 doesn't work anymore. Here I took the v2.1 of the app and tricked it into thinking it is v2.4 (the current version).
The only files that have been alerted are:
So by changing the version number, the app doesn't try to force you to update and will work just like v2.1 used to. You can verify the changes by comparing the original v2.1 of the app (with the correct signature that will install over your current v2.4 of the app) to the fixed version that I am posting (that has the test signature that will require you to uninstall the official app before you can install it)

Fixed v2.1 (shows up as v2.4): http://www.
mobile banking apps not working
location: droidradar.com - date: May 5, 2011
Following the 4.1.83 update, I can no longer log into my Bank of America app. It appears that the apps from some other banks(Chase, Discover, American Express) have stopped working, as well.
Anyone know of a workaround?
My guess is that it's some kind of security certificate problem inside the app, because I can log into my account via the web browser, but now it flashes a security certificate error.
I'd prefer to use the app, rather than the browser.

Ever since I got this phone I keep trying to log onto chase mobile it keeps giving me an error saying unable to securely log on.
I know the moto atrix had a similar issue, and it turned out to be bad certificates. Anyone know of any fixes for this problem?
I have the AT&T version if it makes a difference.

Does anyone know how to convert this into a cab that can be used on the Touch Pro 2? This allows you to take a picture of a check and deposit it from your phone.
Migrating from Windows Mobile to Android (apps replacements)
location: droidmania.com - date: May 14, 2011
I tried to search all over the Internet to find the answer to my questions, but I never manager to do that and therefore decided to post a question on this forum. A short information about myself: currently I am an active Windows Mobile 6.5 user that plans to change his mobile device. I really do not like neither the new MS product (Windows Phone 7) nor iPhone and therefore my third and only option is Android. Before I will make my leap of faith, I would like to find a bit more information about the platform itself and the application ecosystem to make sure that I will be able to replace my WM apps with Android alternatives. It is really hard to google that kind of information (of course you can find an answer to a couple of my questions, but not to all of them) so the Android community seems to be my only hope
Below, I will present in a few words most commonly used apps (from my personal perspective) in Windows Mobile and I hope that you will be able to just state t
[TUTORIAL] Replace Windows Mobile with Android NAND ROMs
location: androidpark.com - date: November 2, 2011
This thread contains all the Android NAND development that is going on in different websites like Github.com
The developers are not responsible for any damages happened to your phone in any way so be aware of what you are doing
Note that the development is still in "Beta" state and it has few issues which are still under development, the Android NAND ROMs are almost ready for day to day use
you can always switch back to any windows mobile ROM by flashing the official or a custom windows mobile ROM just like when you had windows mobile using any Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 ROM Update utility or the SD Card (KOVSIMG.nbh) method, as the SPL or windows mobile's bootloader will not be effected
there will be few random screen flashes when the device start even when you shift back to windows mobile but this does not effect the performance of the device in anyway
Your SD Card Android ROMs are not going to be effected but you wont be able to run them unless you re-in

USAA Mobile Banking App?
location: droidmania.com - date: January 23, 2010
I can't find this when searching in Android Market, but it appears to be available. AndroLib, Find all applications and games available in the Android Market for your Android Phone, HTC Dream, HTC Magic etc... shows that it is out there!
I hope this isn't an Android 1.5 thing... Anyone else been able to find it or use it? I am really pumped up about being able to deposit checks by taking a picture of them and instantly having it deposited in account.
