Xperia z1 > Nexus 5 a step down?
location: droidradar.com - date: February 28, 2014
Last week i was tossing up on getting the nexus 5 but for some idiotic reason i got the sony xperia z1. There is nothing wrong with this phone, i just have a little buyers remorse and wish I had gotten the N5.
So now I'm thinking of selling the z1 on ebay and getting the N5. Do you guys think that this is a step down in phones and thus a stupid thing to do?
The Z1 is still running jellybean hear in Australia. And while the camera is a 20mp camera (i think?), you can't get this result unless you use the camera in manual mode and not auto mode. That is not a quick thing, and auto mode is pretty crappy.
Would love to hear your opinions.
Best Guitar Tuner?

I tried a few but they were a full tone off from the laptop tuner. which I assume was accurate. Recommendations anyone?
GTuner Chromatic Guitar Tuner
location: droidmania.com - date: September 14, 2009
I released my first Android application yesterday: G-Tuner.
It's a chromatic tuner that listens through the microphone and works out what note you're playing.
There are some screenshots here: G-Tuner for Android
When I started working on it there were no other chromatic tuners available (in the UK anyway).
A few other people have beaten me to it, but I hope there's room for a few of them.
Within an hour of publishing my application I had my first rating: 1 star.
Things have picked up a little since then, but I'm wondering what caused the initial bad reviews. Maybe they had a different model phone, and the application just doesn't work.
I've only been able to test it on my own G1. Although a friend of a friend has tried it out on a Hero, and it seems to work.
If this type of application is of interest to you, and you have some feedback I'd be most grateful. Does it work for you? Does it look bad? Is it obvious how it works?
Any feedback or suggestions would be most wel

[REQ] Guitar Tuner for HD2

Hi there... can anyone recommend a working guitar tuner for the HD2?
Guitar tuner API ??
- date: January 26, 2006
My first post on an excellent forum
I'm a budding musician and am just trying to develop a very, very simple guitar tuner to reside on my O2 XDA II.
I just want to choose which string i wish to tune with my stylus on the PDA screen and then when i pluck that string on the guitar a green or red button on the screen will tell me whether it's too low or too high.
My question is whether there are any 'off-the-shelf' API's available that i can paste into VB.NET to analyze the guitar string frequency against the PDA crystal freq?
Any hints or tips would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Guitar Tuner Software
location: androidpark.com - date: January 4, 2009
Does anybody know about a Guitar Tuner software (a real tuner, not just playing the notes) working properly on Artemis? I tried a few on my device (actually an SPV650) and none seems to work. The note is never recognized. Thanks
[Q] Gstrings app Guitar tuner
location: androidpark.com - date: May 23, 2012
Any other guitarists here? Been using gstrings tuner app for awhile now and at some point between ICS updates it seems to have broken The microphone doesn't seem to detect the right frequency range for the notes anymore.
I think it worked at around FXP170 CM9, but that was ICS v4.0.3. My acer tablet still works fine with gstrings on 4.0.3, so not sure if it's a general android 4.0.4 problem, or a problem introduced with the CM9 tree. I'm currently running AOKP RC1.2 on my r800i, but prior to that I had the same problems on FXP119.
Going to try DoomKernel a bit later instead of KeiCSv2 to see if that makes any difference
