[GUIDE][JB4.2+]Backup/Restore app data of all MultiUser Accounts in Jelly Bean 4.2+
location: androidpark.com - date: November 20, 2013
I have been surprised nobody addressed the need for backup and restore app data of secondary user accounts in Android 4.2+ Jelly Bean/KitKat yet. I present you a back up/restore solution for the apps and data in all accounts. It is laborious but it works. Until we get proper support from Titanium or Carbon, this is the only way AFAIK.
I provide no warranty for this procedure. It just worked for me, but I haven't tested it extensively with many devices nor apps.

Intermediate knowledge of Android file system, root etc. You need to understand all these steps (they are not that complicated).

Your accounts, discover known accounts Permission. What its about ?
location: droidmania.com - date: December 1, 2012
Your accountsdiscover known accounts
Allows the app to get the list of accounts known by the tablet. Allows the app to get the list of accounts known by the phone.
I have found this permission in in two explanation pages that say that this permission is "This permission is of low importance" they say that its only give the app that you have google account or a facebook but doesn't tell it anything about the account.
Two other places say - "This permission is of moderate-high importance"
This allows the application to read what accounts you have and the usernames associated with them. It allows the app to interact with permission related to that account. An example would be an app that was restoring your contact, would discover your Google account then send you to Google's login screen. It doesn't actually get to see your password, but it gets to work with the account.
And I still don't really understand what to think when I see this permission as
[Q] Accounts/widgets lost in safe mode
location: androidpark.com - date: July 15, 2013
yesterday, I got my Galaxy S3 (custom build cm10.1) from my pocket to notice it said "safe mode" on the bottom. It might be that I accidentally pressed buttons to get into safe mode; but thats not the problem here.
I noticed that all my custom accounts were now missing (Caldav, Carddav, Xing, and some more). Only the google accounts remain. As all my contacts and calendar entries are on the caldav/carddav server, they went missing, too (of course, they will come back when re-adding the account). I didn't know about the existence of safe mode, I thought like "what the...", and restarted the phone, and it came up without safe mode now. But - the accounts are still missing, and taking a closer look I noticed that some customized or account-related widgets (K9 for example) are also missing now. At least most of the app data seems to still be present; even the Xing app works as expected, even though the related account is missing from the settings. It seems
Multiple email accounts (including nongmail)
location: droidmania.com - date: December 5, 2011
Ok so I have done extensive Googling & searching this forum for the answer but cannot find it.
On my Android Tablet, it was easy but I'm not having great success on my LG Optimus 3D phone.
I want to add another e-mail address THAT IS NOT MS Exchange or Gmail. When I go into Settings > Accounts it only gives me the option for FB, Twitter, Gmail or MS Exchange. I just want to add hotmail to it. When we set it up originally, I set it up with gmail but I also want to add my hotmail... my android tablet did this no problem but the LG Optimus 3D I can't find it for the life of me.
I did e-mail, settings as well but nothing to add a pop/imap at all.
Can someone direct me to the right place here /// anyone had similar issues?
Gmail Won't Let Me Add Multiple Accounts
location: droidmania.com - date: June 23, 2010
Running 2.1 - not rooted.
Gmail keeps telling me "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server."
I've had this account I'm trying to add on my phone before but had to delete it while troubleshooting connection problems. Any workaround for this? I've tried rebooting, using the mobile network and using wifi.

Multiple gmail accounts
location: droidradar.com - date: October 3, 2013
I've just gotten the S4 (YAY!) and on my last phone (a Samsung Droid Charge) I could have multiple gmail accounts attached to the gmail app. I cannot figure out how to add another account. Does that option not exist with this new phone?
Any advice would be welcome. Thanks!
