How to view google shared calendars on Samsung GS3?
location: droidradar.com - date: October 7, 2012
My wife and I have new GS3's. We managed to sync our calendars online through google and are able to see our individual calendars on our phone through S Planner. We also shared our calendars with each other and can view them online. However, we cannot see each other's calendar on the GS3. Is there a setting or something that we are missing? Thank you.

Looking for an easy to use calendar app. I know they are out there. We've been using cozy but I need a monthly view which shows my data together. Not just lines that I have to keep scrolling down to find something. Again, I need something that the whole family can share.

Viewing Shared Outlook Calendars on Device Calendar
location: droidradar.com - date: May 9, 2014
I need help with viewing a shared outlook calendar. I have my outlook email account set up and synced to my Nexus 5, however I cannot seem to be able to view my Boss' calendar.
My gmail calendar items show in BLUE and my outlook calendar items show in RED, I want my shared calendar items to show as well (preferably a different colour). On my computer I can view my boss' calendar and I need this for work. As I work out of the office sometimes and need access to my boss' calendar I would like it to be on my mobile as well.
Our tech guy at work charges by the hour so I was hoping to see if anyone on here has done this on their own device.
All help is appreciated. Thanks.
All Android devices, but the miniPC MK908, can connect to shared folders located on WIN7

I'm very frustrated with my MK908. I have not done any modification to the OS, kernel, or anything like that. It has Android 4.2.2
First, when I connect a 1 TB external HD, the power led of the HD gets on, but the HD does not work (and does not sound as the disc spins, which can be felt when the HD works). I have tried both ports, the normal USB and the OTG mini USB. ¿What is the maximum power supplied by this mini PC? ¿What is the power requiered for a USB-powered external HD? In other words, what should I look for before trying to connect an external HD in order to predict if will work or not? I think this is an easy question, now comes the difficult one.
In order to play movies located on the mentioned external HD, I connected it to a notebook running WIN7, and from there, I'm sharing certain folders through the wifi network (with WPA2 security, IPv4 network). I made all the configurations in order to support all permissions and no passwords. 2 of my Andr
Syncing calendars to Windows 8
location: droidradar.com - date: February 18, 2014
I just recently purchased a Nexus 5. I was a Windows Phone 8 user so this is a big change for me since this is my first ever Android device. With my Windows Phone, one thing I used to use a lot was the calendars. Whatever I would put in my phone would go onto my Calendars app in my Windows 8 laptop and reversal. It'll popup and give me notifications. With Android, I have noticed I can't do that. I am now using Google Calendars. What is a solution I can use so that whatever reminder I put in my calendars in my Nexus goes directly to my computer and I get notifications automatically?

Windows 8.1 Calendars
location: droidmania.com - date: January 12, 2014
Help, the google and microsoft war is killing me. I recently purchased a microsoft surface pro 2 as I need the full windows capability and office applications on the go not thinking about the support between the Android galaxy S4 and windows 8.1. The surface is a great device for what I need as a good hybrid between a tablet and an actual computer but I am struggling with the lack of support between MS and google. I prefer to stay with my gmail calendars but these are not supported in the windows 8.1 default calendar application on the surface. The Microsoft answer is to move all of my mail and calendars to outlook.com. I created a test account and tried this out but I have issues getting it to work with the calendar app on my S4. I tried adding the outlook.com app to my phone in hopes of getting the calendars to sync but I am not able to make it work and only get the email portion. I spent a lot of time searching this forum but get thoroughly confused with the various Keis / Window
Shared Preferences Help Needed
location: droidmania.com - date: February 2, 2010
Okay, I've been charged with creating an SMS application for my College Project, however, I've run into a few difficulties.
I'm able to store text in a shared preferences in my Settings.java, and the information recalls perfectly when the program is paused and then restarted - so I know that code works.
My problem is that when I want to display this information AGAIN in a different file (Send.java) it's not working. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

In the last few weeks I developed a little toy which might especially be interesting for developers or "hackers". And since most of the users here are at least technically interested, I found that this forum might be the right place to introduce this app.
Play music from shared network folder
location: droidmania.com - date: May 4, 2013
I have a large collection of music organized by folders on my PC. I use Media Player Classic on my laptop to access them over Wifi. One of the nice things about this is Media Player Classic will automatically play the next song in the folder until it has played them all. I don't have to create playlists at all. I'm wondering if there is an app or combination of apps that will do this on my LG Lucid. I can use File Expert HD and Music Player to access them but I can only play one song at a time this way. Something similar to Itunes with shuffle would work too as most of the folders are complete albums.
My Tunes seems pretty good but doesn't access network files. Network Audio Player requires me to make a playlist and seems to only have one that is very difficult to erase and start over.
